El Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Arturo Luna, announced the opening of the call for Colombian professionals who have a PhD and want to carry out a postdoctoral stay in the country.
In this first phase, 140 doctors will benefit, who must develop a proposal for Research, Technological Development and/or Innovation (R+D+i) in entities of the National System of Science, Technology and Innovation. In a second stage, 110 will benefit.
"We will allocate around 41 billion pesos, which corresponds to approximately 290 million pesos for each professional to carry out their postdoctoral stay. A support will be given to support the doctor of 10 million pesos per month and up to 50 million pesos for the development of his proposal during the stay. This financing will be made for a period between 12 and 24 months.”, affirmed Minister Luna.
The call begins on February 28 and will be available until April 20, 2023 at 4:00 pm, it has a differential and inclusive approach in the categories of sex, ethnic group and the population that is the victim of the armed conflict.

These are the requirements of the call:
- Being a Colombian professional.
- Have a doctoral degree. For those cases where the degree or certificate is not yet available, a certification from the university must be attached expressly stating that the thesis has already been supported and approved.
- Submit the Research, Technological Development and/or Innovation proposal to be developed during the stay.
- Have a resume in the CvLAC application, which is available at the following link https://minciencias.gov.co/scienti
- Present the letter of endorsement of the proposal, signed by the doctor and the legal representative of the entity with which the stay will be carried out.
