A European research project, led by Dr. Arántzazu González-Campo and with the support of Chiara Distefano and Sara Battista, will develop a technology to obtain an artificial blood substitute with the design of synthetic red blood cells.
They, as part of the research group FunNanoSurf, of the Institute of Materials Sciences of Barcelona (ICMAB), aims to achieve an artificial blood that can replace natural blood in emergencies.
