To get more girls and women to take ownership of technology and close the digital gaps, the strategy always focuses on education.

ICT Ministry allocates resources for 2 programs
The Ministry of Information and Communication Technologies (MinTIC) will allocate more than 6.000 million pesos to strengthen the digital skills of Colombian women.
The money will be for the contribution of the SCHEDULE ICT women for the change, which aims to strengthen the digital skills of 15.000 women throughout the country. This year it will be 3.573 million pesos.
The ICT Minister, Sandra Milenia Urrutia explained that within the call Open Chamber 2023, launched on March 8, 2.574 million pesos will be allocated to finance 6 productions made by women, in the categories of fiction and documentary series.
Our 6 calls for Abre Cámara 2023, will have audiovisual production companies as beneficiaries (including MSMEs), regional audiovisual producers (MSMEs only), indigenous communities, NARP and Rom communities, non-profit operators and community operators (Peace Agreement).
The platform closes between March 21 and 23, depending on the category.
Minciencias supports women with PhDs and researchers
Within the framework of the commemoration of International Women's Day, the Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Arturo Luna, announced the launch of a call that will benefit 120 women.
This is an initiative that hopes to unite the experience and knowledge of about 60 women with doctorates and 60 young researchers, for the development of Research, Development and Innovation projects. Funding for the research project will be granted for a period of 12 months.
